woaaahhh~ This is shocking. The pork content! Not the Fat contents of a Kebab! In the UK too! Arghhhhhhhhh! Check this out....

Six kebabs were found to include pork when it had not been declared as an ingredient. Two of the six were described as Halal - food or drink permitted for Muslims, which must not contain pork.

Mr Theobald said it was "totally unacceptable" that people with certain faiths were unknowingly eating meats that were against their beliefs.

Among the kebabs sampled - without salad or sauces - the average doner contained 98% of an adult's recommended daily salt and 148% of their daily saturated fat allowance.

Today Raiyan wore his own shirt.. he usually does and ended up slipping one hand outta the head gap hehe...

Today Raiyan also climbed down the stairs unsupervised! Mumzie's shift... but I was fiddling with the phone and Daddy O was having a nap... I thought Raiyan was seated near the tv set hehehe... then I heard his voice outside.. no wonder he was quiet for too long.. he wasnt in the room! he he he.. Technically it was Daddy O's fault, he forgot to lock the safety gate by the staircase.... and Mumzie played a little part only by forgetting to close the bedroom door properly.

"Why did you do that?" , ah Daddy O? heheheh Anyway.. we say this phrase to Raiyan a lot.. and didnt realise he has been saying "dadadadadat" to his two cousins when they did something wrong... but one day Babu Rina heard the lines blurted out clearly hahaha....

At Giant.. he knows the place has a play gym.. so we went into the KFC side at the far end..but ended up crying as usual.... he wanted to play hahha..Plan A didnt work.
He cried 3x by the play gym..got run over by bigger kids hehee.. then he started instructing NO! NO! with his forefinger to every kid that swept past him... boleh tahan jua...defence nya.

He also climbed up the ladder on his own and I was shocked to see him up there.. I thought he was circling the area.... hehehe alas.. Daddy O, please dont be that careless again on Mumzie's watch... Daddy O was busy looking for something to drink while Mumzie was huffing and puffing fixing her hair while watching Raiyan...

Ah... I keep giving alms today.. a very good start... and it is for SMARTER as well.... kids with autism.. you dont know how much these kids need your help.... not because they are special..cos they havent really got many choices here to develop emotionally and academically.. but goverment will and has intervene further.... and MOE has helped many , they do have a Special Unit as well.... so every cent counts to help the organisation do more. Start giving today. Everyday if you can. *deep* emosi yo*

Welcome 2009.

It has been a hectic forth quarter for me and the family... except for mum and dad maybe who is still on the waiting list for the UK trip since the 22nd Dec 2008... sorry folks.... though I did say to the Director General that I wasnt sorry that you guys are still here hehehehehheheehhehehehehehe....

2009 started with fireworks all over Lambak... I went to watch the spectacular night on my verandah, shamefully alone.. as Raiyan and Daddy O were still on their third trip at trying to make Raiyan fall asleep.... (here they come.. he is asleep now)

Anyway there were over 30 spots of firework display outside.. it was a great experience...can you imagine my new year turned out to be exciting in the end.. alone but I didnt miss the celebration...I also heard it was this happening in Rimba and Jerudong. My family in Jerudong has gone deaf or so I heard through sms hehehe....

15 mins later...

*puff* *puff* Mumzie was out dancing with Daddy O on the balcony...more like shoving it up daddy's forcing him to dance hahaa.... there is a party up the road...plus DJ and down the road the chinese neighbours are getting drunk over a 'clean' round of card tricks... sure... yeah right... hehehehe....

Hey it turned out to be a good night in after all....

My plans for 2009. I hate resolutions... so I'm gonna skip that.. what I know is..

1. I will have a huge tailoring bill... in preparation for Didi a.k.a Alia's Wedding on the 16th, 18th and 25th January...

2. I also learnt that she is now Alia *lol* and I found out earlier the handsome colleague I was talking about is Ha'adi's brother ha ha ha.... small world. Hi di.. jan marahh... hehehe...

3. I have to finish my Action Plan for 2009 and review 2008 events.

4. I *phear* 2009 working trips.. I hope I wont have to do any European rounds.. uwaaaaaaaaaaa... I dont wanna leave RL behind againnnn.. nooooo....

5. I am very excited about my work now though .. as always actually...anything I put my mind to is exciting for me.. or I'll leave. Anyway.... cant wait to see what 2009 has in store for me... very very hectic it will get....but on a different agenda now.. we have Childhood Policy to finish and a Ukraine thing.... what are they good at? Any tips? For example, I am excited that Russia will set up base here in Brunei, in the hope that we can recruit our children , the nation to be astronauts...or cosmonauts... maybe Physics major, anyone? Who knows... who knows.... it doesnt hurt to dream :)

6. I am also excited that Brunei is also offering the International Baccalaureate... yes.. according to the internet 131 countries in 2600 schools and 360,000 students are doing it or has done it.. I think those are the figure.. a very difficult diploma that IB is... ( There are about 194 countries to date)

7. I am still positively trying to uplift the nation's quality in terms of education and exposure... not no positive colourings on the pregnancy test this year..sorry neneks ..no cucu for you from me this year.. at least I said 'this year' , not 'ever'. *grins*

8. I am still addicted to the internet and a certain vampire *please dont judge me* hahaha... it feels like I'm 16 again.. the boys are getting sick of it by now I guess.. obssessed with an Edward Cullen.. hahhaahahaha... odd but cute.. just the vampire side of the guy... so I get Hani to read the books and reviw plus the internet reviews and spoilers.. I dont have time to read these kind of stuff.. I am only into that deadly look.. grrrr.... bite me! I am always saying bite me usually at inappropriate times.. hahaha ..

9. I also need to throw Raiyan his 2nd birthday party...serious~ Neneks have been flying and I have been flying too so we couldnt sort a time to have the party. Syazwan is leaving too... tskkk..

10. I have found my peace. *sigh* I still need to sink that in. so no futher elaboration on that.

11. ohmigosh! I need to hand over my work to SMSSA... hahaha darn... and the laptops will be ready by 3rd Jan I think...or so the ICT MOE said once we sorted it out....

12. I am thankful for the people around me, the ones who have inspired me and trusted me with many confidential and non-confidential issues.. you know who you are... I am very thankful for our leaders, school and office.... my great mentors including my colleagues at school and office who has been meaningful contributors to my success.

13. I am thankful for facebook , where I have found my old friends..... and made some new ones who I never really knew but see around on daily basis from time to time... I truly am thankful for facebook hahaha..I found Anthony and Ade... Hi you guys.. missing for over 10 years the two lads were... one in Seattle now and the other is in the UK.... so thanks facebook.. I hope I wouldnt get too addicted like most of yew.. :P hahahaha....

14. I need to sort out a few 'issues'. *sighs* Unsolved and I dont think I can work my way around them.. as durable as I am..some things are just meant to sort itself out by itself. Only Anthony knows... dont be jealous now peeps.. it feels so good to tell someone.. love ya Anthony... lots and forever... I do love the rest of you..for the record.. but you wouldnt let me get away with anything or would say to me " I wish I could hug you" ...noooooo! You would sit me down and spank me nonetheless.. whatever you might say in your defence.... :P :P *Blurgh*

On that note, I havent done anything terrible. Swear... ha ha ha... phew it feels so nice to be able to swear cyberly and not physically near any of you.. he he he...

15. I would also like to say thank you to my darling husband *smack* *boom* *kweng* who is such a great guy, my soulmate , who sees through my flaws and worships me day in day out, or so I'd like to think.... He is the best around you know.. but I am glad you dont know that...as I'd like to keep him to myself and not share with any of you out there... hehehehehhehehehehehehehehhehehehehehehe.... there... now that I can leave you with.

16. Also Mumzie needs to fix the 'hair' (this is also a reason why that Pizza delivery guy didnt get any tips as he looked shocked at seeing my pyjamas and couldnt stop staring at my hair) and I will have sexier eyes this year however.. hahaha buleeeh... ada kah bali contact lens chestnut yo tadi di Mall.... try not to stare into my eyes if you dont wanna be mesmerised... he he he and I realise I am still as humble as I was in 2008.. ha ha ha ha ha....

17. I am also worried about Raiyan's education for 2009 - the decision to put Raiyan in school now or not?... then there is that choice decision.. Chung Hwa? Jigsaw? ISB? JIS? That's it..our son will only start school at age 7...just like Daddy O and I have decided a while ago he he he he.....and to a school of his choice..... I dont have the strength to be away from Raiyan hehehee... or leave him at school actually.. that latter note is actually what I meant to say.. the strength part is just a gimmick .. only fans of the vamps will understand what I am trying to say here :)

I left my heart in 2008

*sigh* I am leaving 2008 with a bruised ego and an open mind (so tempting to put a broken heart just to be melodramatic haha) .. ahh.. funny I still am I guess.. that's a good sign.

Oh well.. the last day of 2008. It was a very solemn day for me actually. I got to see both of our major mosques the SOAS and Ja'me mosques... to find solitude... to drain my sorrows ... to wash away all my sins.... eseh keh keh keh. (there we go.. another attempt at dramatising the whole thing hehehe)

Here is the truth.. I am leaving 2008:

1. very rich ..hahahaa... I havent really seen the bonus figure.... also overspending with all the oversea trips since June actually.

2. I learnt that mellow dramatic is also spelt melodramatic.. there I learnt something new today..hahaha....

3. I left a few men heartbroken in 2008, including that Pizza delivery guy who I didnt give any tip for being late keh keh keh...
4. But I did pay my alms today... contributed some money to the mosque petty cash and some money for the special needs via KFC box....

5. I learnt to shape the nation in a different and productive light now...

6. I left the teaching post I dedicated my whole life to but effort wasnt wasted, some people will carry on my legacy... *deep* , especially after the conversation I had at Royal Regalia about how Brunei is moulding the future slowly but progressively and a Malaysian counterpart said slow and developing is good as you dont lose the values by rushing through the nitty gritty of it all.
7. I also had a close encounter with ... my personal flag.... yeah mun paham bisai..hehehe
8. Fireworks I hear fireworksssss.... it is 2 minutes to midnight... oh wait my phone says 5 minutes.. haha...

9. A growin Raiyan who keeps saying 'don wan' lately.. either he meant to call him Don Juan or he doesnt want anything that we have offered him so far. You decide.

10. Today was the most indecisive day. Siblings couldnt decide what to do tonight~ Empire? Ban? Dont know...

11. Apparently, tonight Daddy O also learnt and hopefully the only time he has to take Raiyan for a third consecutive ride to make him fall asleep.. ( I dont think the fireworks are helping and I'm gonna go to the verandahhh to watch that.. back in a bit) *this point will resume in 2009 blog hehe*

12. I ended up doing the countdown alone.. Daddy O and Raiyan is out.... for a ride... hope he sleeps this time , this third time ... he left and he came back and I heard Raiyan's laughter again coming down the stairs earlier..then they left again... then he woke up again requesting the baby seat as he wanted to go on a ride again. SO they went again.

13. Anyway , this morning I really was at two mosque, on duty as Liason Officer for the 2nd Joint Working Group Malaysia 2008 delegates, we also had a glimpse of the Istana Nurul Iman in the morning.. and I learnt that the grassy area near the gates of the palace is actually a Polo field...can you believe it.. I just thought it was a landscape area to enjoy as you cruise in....

Oh also, 14. MoFAT also labelled me 'Miss Yellow Pages' for being informative and I dont mind being resourceful but it was a little embarrassing to claim I'd done fine in front of the whole Ministries involved in the Human Rights Review meeting yesterday... hehehe...

15. I also learnt the MOE Vision and Mission by heart the past few days... accidently but brilliant...I should chant it hehehe.. and I made new name cards.

16. Also I thought I would actually have my last lunch alone. I dont eat alone. I did once this year and it was odd to me.. today I was too busy at Rizqun and would have ended up having lunch alone while waiting for the delegates to freshen up for their trip back home, so... along came Polly... I mean a handsome colleague of mine .... you know who you are ha ha.. so I had lunch at KFC with him, thanks for keeping me company.

17. I also met one of my best friend Ekka at the airport..so it was pleasant but I didnt get to say good bye.. hello you~ *waves*

18. I left Ukraine on my desk. *tick* *tock* and my heart in San Francisco, more like Old Airport Road kekekekekeke~

19. The Director General finished our Child's Policy Seminar Report for us.. feeling guilty but she does produce great work so basically thankful that she took charge, I have made a few contribution as well ..so we can say half of what needed to be done at work is done for 2008. 2009 shall be hectic.. in terms of tuning back in ... been a lethargic week actually.... good for us all... needed the rest. ...too many off days as well but hey.. why not enjoy it?

20. I'm going.... goinggg.... goingg... gone! I also need to learn to write in SEQUENCE as I used to preach in class! har har har..... sort the events out yourself. Homework for you lot.

I met up with Raiyan during lunchtime and he wouldnt leave the arcade.. the new one! He knew which side to point towards..... and here ,he is sporting his Sharif Dol rolled up shirt of Thomas.... Nenek A stylo tu.. and displaying his Barney Radio from Babab... hahaha.. mcm apa anak ku daaaaaaa..... hahaha....
Here is the entertainment we had with Uncle J and Shidah during lunch break...someone was motionless in the middle of the Mall... a second encounter for us at the Mall actually.... attention seeker... buleh jua ke siring kali aaaa..... pigang2 kepala tia jua... maybe she was really hurt..poor girl, I'm not being sympathetic am I?This is Human Rights meeting at ICC hahaha... bare and informal... Mumzie came 'raw' cos I was LO at Rizqun in the morning and headed straight to ICC for a very fruitful meeting indeed... I wish I could be at two places at once.. the JWG was indeed very interesting....

Miss Yellow Pages I am now apparently.. all bare... even my minute was jotted down on the Special Units Education envelope I brought to the meeting unread.. fresh from the oven...read it as we went through the Annex... seriously busy am I not? I love the adrenalin rush... exciting.. I just wish there is 42 hours in a day... a big boss said that to me once... and she as my mentor.. is too right... so much to do.. so little time. I am all ears for anything prosperous.

Child Abuse in Brunei?

Ehem.. we all know this boy who hangs around Serusop with his basketful of not dinosaurs but dried local delicacies.. claimed to be an Azlan not Aslan from Narnia... while it might be good to instill a businessmindedness traits on the lad and his brother... he is only 10 and has been seen around during school hours as well... claimed to be studying at Anggerek and will be in Primary 4 in 2009.,,,,hmmm...

I need to do something and I will.. I think it is fair to say it 'is' my job now. An obligation as well... all kids his age are out playing and he sits in alleyways waiting to be given alms..... he wouldnt sell products to the non local as they will only pay him the right amount hehe..interesting..
ehemm...while it is a great way to give alms as well, to a young boy in need (maybe) it is not flattering to see him grow up into what it seems like now.

In the news, Mr Brown coffee sold in Brunei has been declared safe for human consumption by its manufacturer, King Car Food Ind Co Ltd in Taiwan. This was highlighted by its distributor in Brunei, Aiking Trading Co Sdn Bhd to the Bulletin to clear the air arising from the melamine contamination.

"Mr Brown coffee is not the same product as Mr Brown 3-in-1 and mandheling packet coffee. Just last week, the Ministry of Health listed Mr Brown 3-in-1 and mandheling packet coffee as tainted items due to melamine contamination. Mr Brown's distributor in Brunei informed the public that Mr Brown 3-in-1 and mandheling packet coffee is not sold in Brunei," they said.

The manufacturer declared and guaranteed that the milk powder used in all Mr Brown coffee come from Australia and New Zealand and has been used for over 25 years.

Usually I'd take the left lane to go into Manggis highway in order to get to work, at SMSSA. Today... it was the right lane that matters to get to the TungkuLink highway... *sigh* I left 7.20am hehehe my alarm clock set 15 mins later sudah hahaha..yahooooooooo.... (terkenang tah plg Dayenne yg takes an hour to get ready hahaha, tunggu I get my primer from Dinah, 1 hour tah jua me tu)

The International Relations Unit.. he he the fifth floor cani jua.... we teachers are familiar with the setting. my room is A202 ah guys... come and visit me in my lonely office.. keh keh keh tia krg.. I just dont want to show too much excitement..jauh ati kamu krg hehehe..... the guys are fun at IR! hehehehe... baibun saja....
What I hate. The lunch time effect..... usually when I come over to Ban, it's to pick Raiyan up..but today I was leaving after lunch for work again... with Babab.. mikin tia Raiyan nangis...This will be the only thing that will make me quit working. *sigh* I hope he starts talking fast so I know of his anguish when I leave him behind... I'm flying again on the 9th November... when the Boss told me about this on Saturday, I was more startled than excited. It was embarrassing when she asked me if I knew I was flying, I could only utter 'no'.... and *blank*

Of course I'd give anything to fly, but it's just me, I get emotional hehehe.. sikit lagi air air mata meeting keh keh keh.... but then again.. you guys know me well... The Last Day

What I will miss.... minus the Mickey Mouse... the English Dept will be short of one loudmouthed teacher... I love everyone at school.... everyone has their specialty.... the tantrums and the fun .. all of it... Mumzie, proudly displaying my name tag... sudah kan last day baru tah sebok pakai... it shows I'm proud of my school, and I even wore it to my Saturday afternoon meeting with the Boss.
Amal and I.... mellow... by the admin corridor... watching the world go by.... the quiet world.. hehehehehhe... not many were around after 1pm keh keh keh... and me.. I'd usually be at home by this time.... *sigh* we were like... bye mal....bye kin... as if we wont see each other casually during our Thu and Sat rituals keh keh keh...
What I left behind.. I wonder if I will miss the Monday obligation? hahaha.. no way.. actually I love the school and my friends so much I stayed another year before I moved away.. I was gonna quit.. really quit, then my lady Boss saved me... I'm thankful. Bye bye table.. bye bye Record Books... bye bye time table.. and most of all....... look below.

Bye bye years of Monday blues.. actually I dont usually have a problem with the Monday hand-in of Record Book, cos I did them in the middle of the week and planned months ahead.. so...

To be honest, I only love the crowd and my students, I wouldnt want to teach anymore even for an extra 3k.I was ready to go, one way or another. It was a matter of typing the letter and having guts to resign. I get tired these days.. I blame my sleep time . But I couldnt sleep early as there were much to be done, and Raiyan never sleeps early to allow me do my other obligations.

Just for the record, I dedicated myself fully to my teaching, no matter how tired I got, I always gave my best. Thirst. Blood Rush.Non stop talking. I gave my all. I used to love teaching so much... parenthood changed that. It is just time to change. I did enjoy teaching to the very last day, eventhough it was tiring.
Saying good bye to the gang... it was very emotional for me... especially when I I knew I was gonna walk away.... for good. My Last Nap

Today.. the 23rd of October 2008 at about 1 to 3pm, I had my last afternoon nap... hehehe.. The Boss called me tonight to inform me that I will be at the office permanently as of Monday the 27th of October 2008. *sigh*

I wasnt prepared for that... hehehehehe.. I knew I was going to the office on Saturday on a social call.. then I know I have a meeting at 2pm... but I didnt know today was going to be my last nap with Raiyan in the afternoon. I'm so sad. If I knew I would have hugged him tightly, not just fiddled with his fingers and watched him sleep.

I am more affected on that part than anything.

ah.. I just had a thought , since tomorrow is Friday.. I can still take a nap with him... what am I saying.. there is a light at the end of the tunnel hehehe... what tunnel? ... I do work for the government, so I can still nap in the afternoons on Fridays.. yahooooooooo.... it's the quality time with Raiyan I'm more concerned about, not the nap. (awu bah nap atu jua...)

Anyway, now I can be sad about school. I love my school, believe it or not, the antics and tantrums and everything, I love it all.. never a dull day at SMSSA... every one at school has an effect on me... even the photocopy guy keh keh keh... he does all my papers on time!! sometimes even before schedule... I would rather dwell on him here whom I dont even talk to , than having to talk about the people close to me.. it's just too sad hehehe...

*sigh* I guess having a good administration and colleagues is hateful hehehe.. you just wish I have that I'm glad to go attitude.. but maybe it is better to have loved than not loved at all.. haha.. meaning.. (over jua eh) it is better to go having to miss many things rather than not going to miss anything at all, that means I am happy in the job. A good 8 years of teaching. If I had to do all this again, I'd do it this way again. I've also learnt to calm down over the years to a point where nothing bugs me at all.... he he he..

Today was also my paper, the English Language PMB paper..*sigh* pie chart and directions ani wahh uwaaaaaaaaa, other than that. I am happy... the question about the advantages and disadvantages of the internet came out. I know some of my students must be kicking themselves as they saw the question, if they didnt read the papers I gave them on that. arghhhhh!

Oh well.. sabar ko geng!(the fav expression in our Dept now) I will miss the English Department the most, the Department that never shuts up... he he he.. you cant have a mixture of atttitude in one department as interesting as ours... we are like a Science experiment , if you mix us, the department may explode! even using the right combination. I'm so gonna miss all the tantrums and sick jokes and even watching Dinah transforms herself, camouflaging herself with brushes.. ( she puts on her make up and co-ordinates everything according to the colourings of her clothes). But we are best remembered as, good friends, we cover each other's backs.

I have faith in our Department, we have different opinions but those differences make the jist, the essence of the noisiness hahaha...hang on in there you guys.. it's always like this for us... towards the end... it's time for the December holiday hahaha... so we will all be fine. Look at it this way... there is not a day that we couldnt laugh at someone hahaha among us. So that's gotta be something fun?

My Qantas Experience

I love Australia.. I try to fly yearly to a part of Oz each year (macam repeated info?)....Qantas is better than RBA in terms of quality of the deco..but forced smile is the same.. yeah not because they are not friendly, cos you just gotta smile during the demo hahaha.. when you have to do it too long your face just drops right? so that's what I mean, they just had to prolong the smiles heheh sorry....the Qantas overhead compartment didnt even shake while RBA's cabin usually make you feel like you were gonna be crushed by an overhead compartment hahaha.. The announcement are usually humorous too.. for example, the guy would say 'please pay attention to our glamourous stewardesses...' and also as we landed... you know, as we touched down, the Captain announces ' you may now switch on your phones'. Ha ha ha I was texting while the plane was taxing. Cool Crew.
hmmm.. I hope one day when I get on a Qantas again.. John Travolta will fly us to our destination. Oh btw there is this Win a trip to LA or London on A380 Qantas. Cool~~

4. The nozzle on Massa's car? Apparently not Massa's fault as we all cursed him for.. it was the trigger guy. During practice everything was automatic.. as the fuel nozzle is ejected from the car, the green light goes on.. but during Race Day... they released Massa manually, meaning the trigger guy pressed the button accidentally! So lights went green.. and... hehehe Ferrari team ran a mile .. hahaha...
5. Did you see Massa almost ramming into another car after pit stop...
6. The drivers complained that the roads were bumpy.. hehehe terrible for Singapore.. because they are famous for perfect roads.. well for normal driving...
